3. Can you really use any clock?
Almost any wall clock will work. The Time Hacker uses an external gimmick to move a modified clock movement mechanism. Most movement mechanisms on a wall clock are exactly the same size and will fit the gimmick. Nevertheless, they can be easily switched out if needed.
5. What is a modified clock movement mechanism? How does it differ from a regular clock movement mechanism? Are replacements expensive?
A modified clock movement mechanism is the same as a regular clock movement mechanism. You might want to replace the clock movement mechanism because although the size of each clock movement mechanism is almost the same, the gear ratio may be different, and the position of the adjustment knob may also be different. Some clock movements mechanism may result in an error of 1-2 minutes. However, as an example, the clocks purchased from IKEA can be used directly without any modification.
