The magician shows three stained scarves and places them in a box of detergent, or simply in a wrapper made from a sheet of newspaper. He pours liquid into the box and a moment later extracts the three completely white, perfectly clean scarves. To finish, he tears the box into several pieces to show that there is nothing hidden inside!

The magician enters the stage and separately counts one by one four shaded scarves with rainbow stripes. Now, he folds them in half, then one more time in two...eventually the whole thing will have turned into a large 90 x 90 rainbow scarf.

The tube is picked up from the table and can be held up to the light so that the audience can clearly see that it's completely empty. The tube is now held in the palm of the hand and the spectator is requested to make drum-heads by placing a thin tissue over each end and two metal rings to secure them.
